Sea Point at a glance

Sea Point is close enough to the Cape Town city centre to feed of its hustle and bustle, but far enough away to escape the noise that can come with city living. The sea air and gulls flying overhead are constant reminders that while the CBD is not far off, the Atlantic Ocean is even closer, making Sea Point an ideal locale.

The Sea Point Promenade is ever-popular with young families looking for a day out, runners training for marathons or just looking to get some fresh air, while the Sea Point Pavilion pool is a hub of activity in summer.

Regent Road, however, has become the pulse of this neighbourhood with the once secluded street now home to some of the city's best restaurants and eateries, including the award-winning La Mouette.

Shopping

The Sea Point Galleria has a number of niche stores, while you will be well-served in terms of supermarkets and every-day shopping along the Main Road as well. The V&A Waterfront is just 10-minutes away with all your retail needs catered to here.

Restaurants and bars

Regent Street has become one of the city's most well-regarded strips when it comes to foodie offerings. La Mouette offers an exquisite fine-dining experience, while the Craft Burger Bar is a hugely popular eatery where you can build you own. For the sweet-tooth, My Sugar, offers decadent shakes and dessert stuffed doughnuts, amongst other things.

Schools

Ellerton and Sea Point Primary are High Schools are all good options, while the private school, Reddam House,is based in nearby Green Point.

Hospitals

The Sea Point Medical Centre is centrally located, while Cape Town Mediclinic and Christian Barnard Hospital in the Cape Town City Centre are all easily accessible by car.
